Where can you get your Greenup-Eidsvold Station Bulls in 2008? The studs will sell around 400 bulls in 2008, via Auction and Paddock Sales. They conduct two sales annually for two-year old bulls, one in September at the Eidsvold Elders Selling Complex, auctioning 90 bulls and an On-Property at Cardowan in September, auctioning 65 bulls. The remainder of the bulls are sold as yearlings and two-year olds throughout Australia to private clients. In
September we’re offering a premium selection of 155 bulls at two venues over
two days. Both studs will be
represented at both venues. We have
selected the sale teams from a draft of 400 bulls. The Eidsvold Sale is run in conjunction with Gyranda Santa Gertrudis, who will conduct their on-property sale on Thursday 18th September. Driving time between venues is 1 hour. Tuesday September 23 will see the launch of the Greenup Inaugural On-Property Sale. This will be held at ‘Cardowan’, Kumbia in the morning before the Rosevale Sale. Come and join us for a champagne breakfast before you check out the draft of sixty-five select sires and two quality horses, bred and trained by Rick Greenup. The Greenup horses have been bred for performance and have been worked extensively and are ready to go. The entire
catalogue of bulls and horses will be offered by unreserved auction. A joint catalogue for the two sales is now available. If you require one please contact us directly or one of our participating agents, Landmark, GDL, Elders or your local preferred agent. Bull Background Your bull was bred on forest country, where only the tough survive. He’ll cover bigger distances in harder country, and will breed cows that hold condition longer and get in calf despite tough seasons. Your bull was weighed at 200, 400 & 600 days and we measured his testicles, eye muscle area and fat cover. He has been soundness evaluated by a certified vet and his semen has been tested for motility and morphology. We guarantee his fertility. Your bull is rapt that he kept his stones and got through the tough Greenup culling process. Many of his mates were culled along the way for not meeting our standards for sheath, temperament, structure, muscle, growth and semen quality. Some studs might sell bulls with these faults, but we think you deserve our best. Greenup and Eidsvold bulls are sold in working order. Their condition allows us to select and present bulls with better constitution and so you can see how good we are at breeding cattle, not how good we are at feeding them. When you take your bull home he is ready to do his job of passing his superior genetics on to your herd.
